Revised Schedule Announcement [Dec. 3rd, 2007|08:49 pm]
CBS Fans For The WGA

Hey CBS Fans,

In the next few days, I hope to get some intro posts going and discussions started regarding the strike and CBS. For today, I bring you a bit of news.

This afternoon, CBS announced their revised schedule regarding the strike for 2008.

"New Jericho, Old Christine Top CBS' Strike Schedule"

CBS late Monday unveiled its "revised programming schedule" for January and February, and the highlights include return dates for Jericho — the seven-episode Season 2 kicks off Tuesday, Feb. 12, at 10 pm/ET — and New Adventures of Old Christine (Mondays at 9:30, starting Jan. 28).

Other dates to denote:

Wednesday, Jan. 2, at 8 pm: The Power of 10 returns

Sunday, Jan. 13, Tuesday, Jan. 15 and Wednesday, Jan 16: The six-hour miniseries Commanche Moon

Monday, Jan. 28, 8:30 pm: The Captain premieres, starring Jeffrey Tambor, Chris Klein and Raquel Welch

Thursday, Feb. 7 at 8 pm: Survivor's Season 16 premieres

Tuesday, Feb. 12 at 9 pm: Big Brother returns

How I Met Your Mother, Two and a Half Men, CSI: Miami, NCIS, Criminal Minds, CSI: NY, CSI, Without a Trace, Ghost Whisperer, Moonlight, Numbers, Cold Case and Shark will remain in their usual time slots, airing reruns as fresh fare runs out.

For Jericho fans, this message was sent to you today from President Nina Tassler via the CBS Official Message Board:

Dear Rangers,

We have some exciting news and wanted you to hear it first.  Later today we will announce Jericho’s return to CBS’s primetime schedule.  Seven new episodes will be broadcast on Tuesdays at 10:00 PM, ET/PT beginning Feb. 12.

We hope you will rally around the new episodes of Jericho with the same passion and volume you displayed this summer to bring the show back.  The writers and producers have crafted an exciting second season that picks up immediately following the battle with New Bern, as the town begins the rebuilding process, and along the way discovers why their small community is so important to the newly formed government, and what the true intentions of this new government might be.

In success, there is the potential for more Jericho, but we will need your help to recruit new viewers.  For your friends or family who have never seen the show, the entire first season can be seen on CBS.com, or on the recently released Season One DVD set.

On behalf of everyone at CBS, thank you for your continued support of Jericho.

Nina Tassler
President, CBS Entertainment

At least Moonlight is sticking around! Reruns are something when the show is only a few months old.

I'm already working on a mini plug for the show, this is the best chance to show Moonlight and all our little fandoms some love.

Do we have a liaison from Ghost Whisperer or Num3ers yet?

Possible anti Big Brother campaign? It should be in the summer so part of me thinks this is a sped up edition.

Yes, it's great that they're willing to rerun some new shows! I think it's a good sign ML may get a renewal. :)

Yes, it definitely is! I know the Jericho Monster, as they've been called, is roaring up again with promotional efforts. This is a great time to get fandoms supporting their favorite shows and to let the networks know that scripted programming is essential!

Idk about liaisons? Pen would know..

I'll email you regarding the last idea here. :)
